I Built the Home I Wished Existed.
When someone you love needs assisted living, you're faced with one of the hardest decisions a family can make. You want excellent care, but you also want warmth. You want safety, but you don't want your mother to lose the feeling of being home.
As I toured communities for my loved one, I found caring professionals and beautiful buildings. But I kept asking myself one question:
Who will really know her?
Who will notice when she's quieter than usual? Who will remember how she likes her coffee, what makes her laugh, or when she simply needs someone to sit beside her for a while?
I realized I wasn't looking for a larger community with more amenities. I was looking for a place where she would thrive.
So I created New Moon.
